    About this Office:

    The Elmont Union Free School District employs staff in all areas of Administration, Elementary School Teaching, Classified, Substitute and Seasonal.  Applications for civil service and substitute teaching staff can be picked up in the Personnel Office, on the first floor of the Administration Building, Wednesdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

    Administrative and Certified staff require certification by New York State.  Paper resumes are no longer accepted.  Job openings are posted on the following website, www.olasjobs.org/longisland Applications must be submitted through this website.

    Classified staff, which includes titles such as Clerical, Custodial, Maintenance, Transportation, Teacher Aides, Security and Food Service Handlers, require civil service approval and are governed by the Nassau County Civil Service Commission.  Specific requirements for each position can be obtained in the Personnel Office. 

    The Elmont Union Free School District follows strict legislation, which requires all school district employees to be fingerprinted for a criminal history background check.  Upon appointment to any position in the District the Personnel Office will assist in making these fingerprint arrangements.
